New Life Bible Institute Recap

Last night we had our weekly bible study, which is called our bible institute. It started out kinda of rough, because anyone who deals with computers know sometimes they have minds of their own. I could not get mine to act right for some reason. Once i prevailed and showed the computer who was the boss everything started to flow right. I just came off of a nine month series and we dug into another last night. We started a study of John MacArthur's the Gospel according to Jesus Christ. What a challenging class we had last night! Without getting too technical in this post, here are some of the areas that we covered.
To start we looked at some of the issues that hurt the universal church today.(Today's Gospel Good news or Bad)
An abandonment of Jesus Gospel i.e. cheap grace, the Lordship of Christ and the judgement of sin.
Our scripture references to launch our study was Matthew chapter 7:13-23 which led through a discourse that took quite a while, as my fellow preachers and brothers know it can get sometimes. Other scriptures used to bring out sub points were 2Cor.13:5, 2Pet.1:10, 1John3:10 , Luke 6:44,1John 3:10, and 1 John 2:4. Ill ask anyone who reads this, please pray for me and the New Life family as the Lord leads us through this study. Pray that the Lord of the harvest will make us into a church that is sold out to do His will.
Thank You and God bless all.

My First Post

Today is my first attempt at posting a blog. I am somewhat reluctant to the swing and trend of technology. But here I am once again moving with the times. Yesterday we had another rewarding day of worship at New Life CFC, where the Lord has allowed me to pastor. The Lord led me to talk about no more excuses from Luke 9:57-62, my main three looks were 1st we must endure hardships v.57-58,2nd we need to have an urgency about the gospel v.59-60, and 3rd this walk requires focus and determination. I believe the people of God was challenged as well as blessed by the proclamation of His word. After the morning worship our congregation had it's quarterly conference meeting, which was hard to me after such a rewarding worship. No worries though all went well. Today is my 7th yr. wedding anniversary, I am going to leave my fellow bloggers in the Hands of the Lord!
